Quickstart

From zero to your first on-chain prediction in under five minutes.

Prerequisites

You need three things to make a prediction:

  • A wallet (embedded or your own)
  • Some test USDC to stake
  • A small amount of Base Sepolia ETH for gas

Five steps to your first trade

  1. Sign in

Click Sign in in the top-right of any page. Choose email, Google, or connect an existing wallet via WalletConnect.
  2. Mint test USDC

Open the wallet menu (top-right, once you're signed in) and use the Testnet faucet to mint 1,000 free test USDC to your wallet. The faucet is gasless: you sign a message and Signal mints to your wallet, so this works before you hold any ETH. You can claim once every 24 hours.
  3. Get gas

You need a tiny amount of Base Sepolia ETH for on-chain actions: the one-time USDC approval before your first trade, and buying or selling player shares. Use any public Sepolia faucet, then bridge to Base Sepolia (or use a Base-native faucet directly).
  4. Pick a market

Browse the Markets page. Each market shows a YES/NO price between 0 and 1, the crowd-implied probability of the outcome.
  5. Place your prediction

Choose YES or NO, enter how much USDC you want to risk, and sign the order. Your position appears immediately under Profile → Predictions.

What happens next

Markets lock at kickoff, and when the match resolves each winning share is worth $1 in USDC (a 2% fee comes off winning payouts when you claim). Claim yours from Profile → Predictions: you sign a message (no gas), and for payouts of $5 or more Signal's relayer submits the claim and covers the gas. Smaller payouts can be claimed directly for a cent or two of gas. Losing shares simply expire.
